The Color Correction Process

The color correction process is complicated to fix the discoloration of an old faded tattooed brow. Tattoo cover-ups can take 3 visits to complete with a month in between each session.

Laser Eyebrow Tattoo Removal

Eyebrow Color Correction ShapingIt may even be necessary to lighten or remove your old eyebrow tattoo. Getting a laser eyebrow tattoo removal is a safe and straightforward procedure. While some people fear that the proximity to the eyes makes laser tattoo removal of cosmetic tattoos dangerous or unsafe, a well-equipped tattoo removal clinic should be able to handle the procedure. The main differences between cosmetic tattooing and traditional body tattoos are the techniques and types of ink compounds used. The ink used in cosmetic tattoos is made up of organic and/or inorganic colorants, which can change pigment in your skin for several reasons.

The four main factors for cosmetic tattoo ink changing color after being injected are:

  • Characteristics of the pigment.
  • The tattoo artists method and technique.
  • Your skin.
  • Your medication you might be taking.

If you require laser eyebrow tattoo removal because the pigment has changed color, the tattoo can be removed regardless of the cause of pigment color change. However, it’s best to know what type of ink was used in your tattoo because this information will give you an idea of how long it will take to fade throughout how many treatments.

How Long Does It Take For Eyebrow Tattoo Removal

Bad Eyebrow TattoosIt takes between 1 and 5 laser tattoo removal sessions to completely remove an eyebrow tattoo, depending on the type of ink, your skin, and the technique used by the tattoo artist who did the tattoo.

Don’t be alarmed when having laser eyebrow tattoos removed, as they tend to get darker before getting lighter because of the ink compounds commonly used.

In some cases, 2 or 3 treatments are enough to remove or lighten the tattoo. The time it takes the tattoo to fade completely depends on the type of pigment and how it interacts with your skin. The tattoo will continue to fade throughout the years, even after your final treatment.

One thing to keep in mind is that typical tattoo artists avoid tattooing over each other’s work; brow artists also do not like working on non-virgin skin. Not only is it difficult to see fine line drawings over old ink, but also when you tattoo over already-inked skin, results become much less predictable. So, if it’s not your first time under the needle, the artist you choose may not want to work you.

Cosmetic tattoo pigments have come a really long way since then, and pigments for brows are blended browns, blondes, and taupes and all extremely natural-looking.

Are you wondering how long does it take for eyebrow powder to heal?

It takes 2-3 weeks to heal with proper aftercare that is provided by @wakeuptomakenaples.

  • Do not pick, peel or scratch the treated area or your color may heal unevenly, and you risk scarring and infection.
  • No makeup is to be applied for 3 days after the procedure on the tattoo area.
  • If you get them wet, sweat excessively or use anti-aging/acne products on the treated area during the healing process, you can end up with blurry or faint hair strokes. For days 3-10, you can wash your hair in the shower but be sure to put Vaseline on your eyebrows to provide a protective barrier while in the shower.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area for the first 2 weeks

A fantastic compromise between the two methods is having an initial powder fill treatment in a slightly lighter pigment that you would like for the final result, followed about 4-6 weeks later by a slightly darker hair stroke application over the top. This is a great way to achieve a natural hair stroke look, but with better definition and longevity than hair stroke on naked skin. Two treatments, initial and retouch, are offered in our pricing at Wake Up To Makeup, for eyebrow cosmetic tattoo, so it does not actually cost any more to have these two methods done subsequently to create this look.
